Today I watched The Departed, nominated for Best Picture at this year’s Oscars. (For a printable ballot, click here.) In typical Martin Scorsese style, the film was pretty violent, which is not commonly a highlight for me, however, the complexity of the plot was very interesting from my vantage point. In my Oscar- Best- Picture- Nominated- Film viewing, I still think Babel is the best. I only have Letters From Iwo Jima left to watch before the big day.
I also watched Independence Day (an old favorite) and Man of the Year.
In other news, I have completed both sleeves of my Kyoto sweater and started the neckline trim.
