On this rare occassion, I’m actually posting my daily fitness update. Normally I just log them in private mode to keep a tally. It’s not very exciting, and I figure my monthly updates are enough. However, today I have some really big progress to report. I ran 5k today as practice. I’ve been working up to running more and more at each workout for a month now. And I was able to run the whole 5k! In addtion, my time was 31:46. I believe, if memory serves, that that’s better than last year’s time! I even got up to a speed of 6.7.

My knees were mildly sore when I finished, but that wore off fairly quickly. I feel really great that I was able to do so well the first time. Of course, I worked a little harder than normal to see what my baseline time could be. Going forward I’ll do my runs a little more relaxed so I don’t burn myself out.
